Godalming is over 1000 years old and from time to time people ask us about records we hold which may help them in tracing their family tree.
Old Parish Registers (prior to around 1970) are not kept at the church.
For safe keeping they are stored at:

The churchyard at Godalming Parish Church was closed in 1855 (although there were some burials in existing graves after that date). Godalming Town Council opened two cemeteries, Nightingale Road (also now full) and Eashing Cemetery, Franklyn Road.
